The vision of the New Zealand Curriculum (2007) is to develop people who will be “actively involved, lifelong learners”. We know that inquiry-based approaches to learning are a building block for meaningful, innovative learning (OECD, Nature of Learning, 2012). This seminar will explore how the inquiry approach of design thinking offers rich opportunities in both process and outcome for schools to empower lifelong learners of all ages.
